Grendon Festival started in 2006 as a celebration of both football and music. It has steadily grown and last year we welcomed over 1500 guests and 15 bands across 2 stages.
A team of 40 volunteers kept our guests fed and watered with CAMRA ale and ciders, pig roasts, ice cream and soft drinks.
The bands included big names such as We Sunk Atlantis and This is Freedom, as well as local favourites such as the Scallys and No Elvis. A full line up from 2010 appears below and we really owe a huge debt to all performers from 2010 who appeared for free in order to maximise the amount we could donate on to our charities and especially the Florence Nightingale Hospice.
In 2012 FNH will again be our main beneficiary along with several local organisations. One big change this year will be greater emphasis on the music and our event will be spearheaded by several excellent tribute bands - such as Oasis tribute, Noasis. We also aim to lay on more activities for children - more bouncy castles, more stalls, maybe even a small football pitch!!
